Here is a part of our Treatment Philosophy:
Not all 7-9 year old children need braces
Some orthodontists start straightening teeth at a very early age. Dr. Fischer does not believe that it is usually important to correct minor problems early and prefers to wait until the patient has almost all of their permanent teeth. However, we would like to evaluate for orthodontic problems when the child is 7-9 years old in case there is a developing skeletal imbalance or airway obstruction. Most often, Dr. Fischer will ask to see young children on a 6-month recall schedule, at no charge, so he can appropriately advise the parents when it is time to begin treatment.
Dr. Fischer is a leading provider of clear aligners for esthetic orthodontic treatment
KFO has been offering treatment with clear aligners since 2000, during which time Dr. Fischer was a member of the Clinical Advisory Board for Invisalign. Today, he continues to provide clear aligner treatment to patients who have been told by other orthodonitsts that they cannot be treated with aligners.
Airway management and snoring abatement are an important part of our practice
Dr. Fischer works closely with ENT physicians, pediatricians, and pedodontists in evaluating a patient's developing airway because its obstruction can lead to unfavorable facial growth and dental malocclusion. We can also help individuals with snoring problems by substituting oral appliances for CPAP machines.
It is important to listen to the patient's concerns about their teeth
Dr. Fischer has the highest of standards when straightening a patient's teeth, but he also believes it is very important to consider concerns the patient may have regarding the way their teeth look or feel. He is always ready to discuss these concerns with the patient's satisfaction the ultimate goal.
